Here's the rivet, snip it to the length you need. https://www.stoddard.com/90005500412.html.html
To set the rivet, I use a HAND RIVET SQUEEZER like this one https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/ ... gKDh_D_BwE you will need to modify the die on your lathe so the head of the din spec rivet; the squeezers are for domestic rivet head shapes.

BTW, the plastic is this ; https://www.stoddard.com/catalogsearch/ ... sor+insert
Or maybe, send you old visor pieces to Victor Miles and you get a perfect result but not the satisfaction of doing it yourself and won't be cheap!

Thanks, thats the set plastic i bought ! Still its a bit too thick to fit nice in the chrome frame, so have filed it a bit to wedge shape.Brad Ripley wrote: ↑Sat Jul 13, 2019 2:33 pm BTW, the plastic is this ; https://www.stoddard.com/catalogsearch/ ... sor+insert

I really like to do much as i can myself. Have done a lot of work on my Triumph TR2 myself and really enjoyed working on it.
So hopefully i'm able to do German too
