Sometimes a 356 just looks especially good in a picture. Max, your Cabriolet is one of those cars. :)

Thanks Edwin ,Beauty is more than skin deep on this treasure. No accident no rust example with #’s matching throughout. Also comes with a rebuilt 912 engine with correct Zeniths etc.
Any interested folks please contact me soon before I list it on BAT. Restored several years ago.
Would love to see it go to a Registry member.

I love A Cabs but I feel like the market has never fully appreciated them. I've sold some nice ones over the years and a bunch of projects but they never seem to get that buzz that Speedsters, Roadsters, and A Coupes get. But I think they will in the future, so the A Cab may be one of the last under-valued 356's.

Adam the really nice ones have sold here in Calif. for 250 k and more in the past few years. Prices have dipped but the exceptional ones will always have a stronger following. The T1 thru T2 cabs are quite rare being produced just over 300 more than the Speedsters of the same years.

The real nice of any 356 always brings out the big money, 356 people know quality, and will usually pay for it. I was more referring to nice drivers and projects, more of what I see. A Cabs have never brought what I thought they should, in comparison to A Coupes, any Pre-A or Roadsters/D/Speedsters. A Cabs tend to sell about like a B Coupe, very consistent, but never a pop at the end of an auction. Like I said, under-valued.

Thanks Adam I think you have it right “undervalued “ I have owned all the cars you’ve mentioned and they were all exceptional examples.
I’ve learned that even though many were equal esthetically they could be very different once behind the wheel. When I first drove this little Cab. It took me back to 1966 when I bought my first Porsche a 1957 Speedster and I was hooked. In my recollection this may be the best of the bunch and that includes 45 + Early Porsches mostly 356’s and a few early 911’s with 2 unbelievable 914/ 6’s.

Hi Max, My "A" cab had a hardtop with it when I bought it, although it is not listed on the COA. So, maybe original to the car or not. ?????
Car is an all numbers matching example.

Spike Could very well be orig. to your car. The hardtop isn’t listed on my COA but I know it’s orig. because the orig. owners son said that’s the way his dad purchased it new off the showroom floor. No tenax fasteners on the body when I purchased the car.only one family owned beside me. I would think that if the cabs were sold with both tops ,one would’ve mentioned as extra on the cardex or COA.

Would agree that Tenax fasteners would be added if the car were delivered with a tonneau.
