Carrera fuel filter. Don't get excited, they all had it.

Same mount in 55100, a 1600N, hidden by engine bay insulation.

I guess that your car is a T1 A. T1 As were set up for the Carrera engine whether one was installed or, usually, not. In addition to the fuel pressure regulator mount you have discovered, there will be a body mount engine seal strip below the pushrod engine tin, and mounts for the Carrera oil tank in the left rear fender well on the inner wall. There will also be captive nuts on the rear of the engine compartment wall to mount the Carrera coils. No difference between the street Carrera, GS, coupe bodies and the pushrod engine bodies. After the T1s, only the Carrera bodies had those mounts. I think that the left rear fender brace was bolt in, rather than welded to the inner wall because with the Carrera, the oil tank gravel shield is also the fender brace.

Happen to have a clear pic of both the mount, and the other captive nuts on the other side of the engine bay

Another thing is if the car is a coupe like the OP then the mount is to the left of the left hinge mount. If an open car the mount will be between the hinge mounts
