Fuel Starvation Troubles

Is the fuel tank vent tube clear? Longshot but you never know...

Possible that the vent for the gas tank is plugged at the little dome shaped device. Especially if a sealer has been used during restoration. A friends tank actually imploded on him due to blockage. Even a partial blockage could cause problems.

I had a similar problem which turned out to be a faulty in line fuel filter that was allowing just enough air to enter, but did not leak gas. Similar to Cliff's response of air leak in the fuel line.

Re non-ethanol fuel, this site has been posted in the forum before, but newer members may not have seen it. In my home town, only 91 grade is available without ethanol. Overkill, but i think better than using ethanol for a lot of reasons. My "regular" cars require 91 octane, so I try to use non-ethanol whenever I can.
