How to make an old Porsche fly

#1 Post by Ian William Stockwell »

Picked up an old copy of Craig Richter's "How to make an old Porsche fly" today for £15 or just under $19.
These bargains are still out there if you look hard enough.
Also picked up a 356 Spec's book for £25 or just over $31.
I feel like Sabastian Gaeta.

Hope you enjoy it, Ian. If you ever make it down to Salzburg Austria area, I'll sign it for you if you'd like. That oughta add about a nickel to its' value...

Hello Craig
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
If your signature doubled the price it would not leave my clutches, I just love looking at it and reading it.
It's a date, if ever we are in Salzburg, the wife has already been, we will be sure to look you up.

Craig, are you still selling the down loaded versions?

If anyone is serious about the mechanicals, they NEED this Great book!

My original copy, signed by you, is dog eared, and high lighted, throughout, and … it is Not for sale!

I still have my "DOPE" badge, which came with it, Thanks!

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the nice words. My friend Peter Kroezen in the Netherlands offers the down-load version. He can be reached at <pkr@kpnmail.nl>.

I just gave away the LAST copy to my new friend Pit at <jpsaircooled@gmail.com> in Switzerland. Great times at the Lucerne International 356 Meeting last week. The Brit group was so much fun!

Still have a small box of D.O.P.E. badges left back in Laguna Beach. Will return next month, so email me if anyone is nutty enough to want one.

Craig

If any of you, out there, are serious students of the 616 Porsche engines, do yourself a favor, and get the download copy, and "Marvel" at its insights!

Thanks, Craig, for sharing your "Experiences". Through the years, I have found it invaluable.

Basic mechanical principles, never change,
Mike

+1 Mike. I let my original copy go with a car I sold long ago. Made the mistake of letting the new owner see it. Couldn't get a replacement until Craig and Peter made it available online. Not only has a lot of good info, but it's an enjoyable read to boot.
Some days it's just not worth chewing through the restraints.....
