Recommendations for Routine Maintanence , etc.

#1 Post by Jay Amato »

I am looking for a small, personable and flexible shop that can do maintenance (oil/filter, lube, tune up, install a radio, etc) on my '63 356B in the Brooklyn, NY area (Long Island is good as is lower Westchester). Any recommendations? Many excellent shops that have become overwhelmed with race prep and don't have the time to focus on smaller work.

Thanks

Jay

I'd touch base with Adam Wright for his suggestions and/or the local Registry or PCA group for their suggestions.

I'm surprised to here this about shops as I thought service work and problems that came from it where the financial back bone of most garages?

There are some VW places visited there that might be suitable

You could PM Bruce Smith who lives up State to see if he can recommend anybody.
