1950 - 1951 Split Windshield Heater Box Lever(s)

#1 Post by Joe Ruiz »

Curious to know if the Split Windshield cars had (2) provisions for mounting control rods to their heater "silencers" or only (1)?
Not too sure if the heater "silencers" in the Split Windshield cars had any levers actuated by the heater boxes.
Is there is a "cut-off" at a certain chassis number where Porsche went to (2)?

The photo is used for ref. only! This engine is a late 1954 model that DID use dual control rods actuated from
the heater boxes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Joe, Pair of early flapper boxes w/ 1-hole levers. Don't know when change occurred but would guess late 1951.
