Looking good Harry!
I thought there was a more comprehensive article on file but can't find one. Your wiper motor, clock, electric tach, generator, voltage regulator, light bulbs, and fuses would all have to be addressed in the conversion.
Elsewhere in this topic:
If you are still thinking about a 12V conversion, these articles might shed some light: https://porsche356registry.org/article/202 and https://porsche356registry.org/article/182Harry M DeNoers wrote: ↑Tue Apr 14, 2015 9:26 am I am trying to decide whether to upgrade to 12v during restoration. NAPA offers a decent 6V sealed battery.Conrad Carter wrote: ↑Sat Apr 23, 2016 5:50 pm ...I want more and it is very doable but not inexpensive! FWIW, most cell phones will charge on a 6 volt system. Valentine One Radar detector will not fire up at 6v. SMD headlights work way better than original incandesant bulbs but think they will be better at 12 volts. Finally, where are you going to find a 6 volt battery on the road these days?

Beautiful!!! What's the total "mild outlaw"?
Batteries+ sells the 6V Optima. If you are concerned about cold performance, I just put in a Winterburn 6V CDI that works great and cranks down to I believe 4.5V.

PS My SMD headlights are great, albeit I wish they were a little more focused.

Re: Rebuild (Now going mild Oulaw) 1964 356C Coupe 217115
Thank you for the kind word. Someone has suggested i should have labeled this topic ‘Rebuild’ instead f Restoration - and I think he is correct - therefor the change . . . The car will be brand new - with all existing parts that are reused completely refurbished .. . And those that cannot be refurbished being replaced.
