Brett Johnson, you out there??

#1 Post by Robert Thiemrodt »

Do any of your 911 books reference how many 911's were painted in various colors? Example, 1972, 500 in guards red, 350 in silver. I have a 69 911e in its all original dark green metallic. I just don't see any in this color, I'm curious how many are out there. Thanks!!

It might be worth your while to BUY his book. Whether it contains this nugget of info or not, you are guaranteed to discover many other details that will be helpful and full of insight.

I already have so many 911 and 356 books, I could start a library. None of them discuss how many were built in what colors, other than in the back of the book, "Speedster type 540". I can only assume Brett's does not address this either.

Too many Porsche books is a contradiction in terms. I have about 1200 and still acquiring -- that's why BLOCKS-BOOKS.com exists.

What, is is putting in a new bedroom at the same he is working on a new edition of his fine book? Must be a glutton for punishment! Seriously though, if one had to limit his or her Porsche book collection, Johnson’s books would likely be on or near the top of most lists of keepers.

This thread is asking about 911s. I think Brett's current efforts are for a more up to date 356 book.
I'd suggest contacting him directly.

Brett posts here, that’s why I inquired here. Besides the fact he writes 911 books also.

Now I know why the joke is said, “ Do you know the difference between Porsche’s and porcupines”?

Simply asked a quick and harmless 911 question. Not a Pontiac firebird question.

And it reads , “356 talk main discussion” not “356 only talk discussion”.
