Thanks Don. That's very obvious now.
Armed with this information, 81075, 81079, 81127 had the later jack with the small clips spaced wider apart.
Maybe George Kehler can tell us about 81039.

Speedster 80718 July 55 has the later jack mount.

60900 has the narrow jack clips and 52979 has the wide ones.

An interesting note to the wide vs. narrow jack in 1955 cars. I am pretty sure the narrow jack as shown in Victor I. photo's is a 1955 only jack ,or maybe not even used for the rest of the production year. There were design problems with the structural strength of the I beam design running all the way back to the main body of the jack. The next year this was eliminated because of problems.
