karman notch T6 door vent window machine screw

#1 Post by francis gnatek »

hi, can anyone tell me where I can purchase one of the two chrome machine screws located on the very top of the chrome vent door window? I dont' see any part numbers (or even reference )in any porsche parts manuals .
the screws are countersunk into the vent frame.
thanks for any assistance.

Door frame screws, #NLA.541.004.00 available from Stoddard, Klasse 356, Sierra Madre Collection.
No individual part number listed in the parts manual.
If you have a sample, maybe your local hardware store has them in stainless.

Screws for window frame are slotted oval = DIN 964, available from some metric sources but the 3.50 mm diameter is an obsolete spec and now hard to find. However, Stoddard NLA has screw sets, Coupe or Cabriolet

Easiest thing to do is to find the same size in stainless (I think I found mine at ACE), then chuck the screw in a drill and polish with 3000 grit sandpaper. I did a pair so they would match.
