T1 Headlight to Turn Signal Spacing

#1 Post by Brett Johnson »

The spacing between headlights and turn signal units increased before July 1956 (see photos). This has been related to the addition of the new US style bumpers with the chrome tubes. The earliest cars I have on file with those are Speedster 82256 and coupe 57751. Can anyone supply additional data (chassis #s and/or build dates) for either the increased spacing or bumper trim?

Brett, search the forum. I started a thread about this not so long ago. The spacing is not the only detail that is different on the early A noses.

Anyone else with the wide spacing prior to April 1956 out there?
