Friends:
One of the biggest factors in any club's success is its publication, and one of the biggest factors in the success of that publication is its editor. It is he who finds and encourages good contributors, including designers, photographers, and writers. It is he who keeps the magazine appearing on time (not always tru in our earlier days), and it is he who makes efficient use of the available funds to provide the best possible magazine for the members.
In the case of the Registry, this individual has been Gordon Maltby, who has put his skills, his personality, his experience, his dedication, his time, and even his humor into the club's magazine. All of us who have regularly enjoyed the result of Gordon's work salute him and wish him well in retirement. Like any good editor, Gordon leaves a "paper trail" behind him to help future generations Keep The Faith. He deserves great credit and a memorable send-off!
I'm proud that Gordon has been a good friend for so long. As a fellow editor/publisher (retired), I understand the challenges and the thrill of improving both the product and increasing circulation.
Congratulations, Gordon, on a job more than well done!
Frank

Yes, Thank you Gordon. It always feels like Christmas when I unwrap a new edition of the magazine — you never know what you’re going to find in it. There’s always a treat or two. Good luck with your book.

Aw, you guys! Thanks so much for your kind words and wishes.
The trustees have chosen a new editor and I think he'll do a great job. Look for an official announcement, with trumpet fanfare, very soon.
