i reiciently came across a full length film that appears to document the 1970 917 winning season .. haven't watched it yet . as i don't have a 16mm projector.

You can send it off to Legacy Box and get it digitized, I just did that with a bunch of old 8mm race movies.

i was looking to do that so i contacted legacy. They said that 16mm with sound is $.30 a ft and they don't guarantee the sound . its a 1200 ft reel. 45 minutes long i'm really surprised i cant find any info when i google it. its a professionally shot film by marathon international.

They are running a super sale, I just got 20 movies for $250, that should clear out the rest of my racing movies. I'm even going to throw in an old VHS of my punk rock band The Creeps, the kids can't wait to see Punk Rock Daddy on stage!

Thanks for the heads up , i just contacted them and spoke with a representative. they no longer will attempt to capture the sound portion on any reels super 8 or 16 which i find surprising they are a big company and every super 8 i have ever viewed the sound still worked ..share some pics of the creeps .. the thee or four people who view the off topic forum would love to see some. plus its off topic so anything goes .

Your other option is to buy a projector, they are pretty cheap, I found one on ebay for $30.Ned Gorski wrote:Adam

Seems to be on youtube if you want to preview it. (4 parts)
I bought a car with the 1970 Porsche victory sticker on it. I think it was my 70T

I just watched it and it was great. I couldn't find part 4 so if anyone finds it, please post. They capture the world title by part 3, however.Ned Gorski wrote:good call Charles.. i'm surprised my google search didn't pick that up you just saved me $100 .
I remember going through that time, but I had not seen video. There were not too many Porsche people out there and I was most proud.

Re: 1970 Porsche does it
I stumbled across this site:
(I stumble a lot.)
A listing for cars on tv and movies. For example, search Porsche 356.
