I saw this 52 recently at the Werks Reunion in Monterey and thought others might like to see some detail pics of the bumpers; especially how the thin aluminum trim strip that wraps around the bumper is attached.

Paging Tom Scott - i know he was hiding some trim in his basement, Joris :)

11816 completed september 1952 has A bumpers but rectangular tail lights and the early front turn signal locations (inward of the headlights). Car has not been clipped.

Hi Jules, we got all the trim and deco's sorted. Challenge is the bumper guards. We got a repo set made years ago and they will nee d extensive work to make them fit. Luckily a fellow member shared some good pictures with us on the inside brackets etc. which will help us.

I realized the last pic lost some of the detail when I shrunk it down to fit the Registry’s website picture size limit. Here’s a close up.

Beautiful car! Note that the round signal lights front and rear are incorrect on this car. It should have the pointy SWF ones with radial markings, not the beehives used later in 1952.

Thanks for the nice photos Trevor.

Thanks for sharing Bil. That's cabriolet 15039 formerly owned by Vongehr?

Joris, I think the Simonsen panels guy Torsten Walsdorfff is making bumper guards for these export bumpers, but perhaps you knew this already.
