Santa Barbara/Ventura area shop to do longitudinal work
Any recommendations for a good shop to do longitudinal replacement in the Santa Barbara or Ventura California area?

My gut tells me he doesn't do much metal work, but Larry Markham in Somis (Ventura area) is one of the best wrenches out there, and if nothing else he undoubtedly could give a recommendation. Unfortunately, I don't have his current number but maybe someone else can chime in.

Victor Miles' John is a great metal person.
Whatever you do pin Victor down to a quote before he does any work.
I trusted him to charge by the hour. BIG MISTAKE!
Metal work (no paint) on my car costs in 2000's over 20 K.
And to think all I wanted was a pan and battery tray.
Also, consider not purchasing Victor's shine down lights ...
Christensen plating (Jose Luis De La Torre 818 903-5738)
does all he hard work straightening and concourse plating.
It costs around $550-600.00.
The Hella logo engraving is done by J. Chadwick (Scott Babcock) 626 358-9955
75.00- 125.00.
He does impeccable work.
All work should cost about 1/2 to what Victors charges.
Why pay $12-1500.00 to get the exact same results from the same vendors.
Victor is a nice guy and does impeccable work (through his vendors) however his methods are all about huge profit.
(Just my opinion)

I've never heard of Larry doing body and paint work either. He could probably recommend someone.Jim Neil wrote:My gut tells me he doesn't do much metal work, but Larry Markham in Somis (Ventura area) is one of the best wrenches out there, and if nothing else he undoubtedly could give a recommendation.
