Guys, unfortunately I have bought 2 right side rear tail lights. So I am looking for a left one (left means drivers side). But I also want to know more about the different types being available. As well that I want to know the measurement/ sizes of the original bolts.

this is the type where I got 2 x right ones of .... together with the counter frame .... do I need a washer between the nut and the inner frame?
Any tip is appreciated.

The B parts manual shows 6 "distance washers" used with the backing plate. They look like flat washers.

Thanks for the reaction,
and do you know the measurements by chance of the washers?
Here a pic of two different types tail lights I have (found this pic on the internet):
I have a third type where you can remove the holder of the big bulb by pressuring on kind of spring.
Does anyone knows originality and combines year and how to see whether it is a after market one?

Notice that the originals have bullet connectors. The more recent ones have screw terminals.

Unfortunately no size is listed for the washer. I'll try to Google the part number to see if I can find it. Ed is correct about the wiring connections. For some reason, the repros have a screw terminal rather than a bullet connection. You can make a pigtail wire using a female bullet connection on one end and a tinned bare wire on the other to connect to the tail light. That way you don't have to cut off the male bullet connector.

No luck on the size. Googling the part number shows a couple of sites that list the part as unavailable and describes it as a spacer. Perhaps someone with an original car and or part can weigh in.

Re: rear tail lights B coupe
Its a washer! Take one like you need to your local parts store (hardware store, HomeDepo, Lowes) and bring back something close enough, galvanized is better. Or, make some authenticity seller's day and purchase an original piece of Porsche steel. Maybe these washer-shims were made in the USA, or some country closer at hand. Better yet, make your local Porsche parts department's day. Or, make your own washer with a small hole cutter, and, do use a piece of Porsche body metal for the benefits of a lighter chassis. To smooth out the body metal washer, mount it on your drill and turn it smooth with your bench belt sander. For corrosion protection, following the wire brush brightening of your newly fabricated washer, coat the authentic Porsche steel washer with cold zinc spray-on. Several coats, allowing to fully dry (between coats) before installation. Life is good in the slow lane. <;-)
