356 Registry Reunion Registration

#1 Post by Gordon Maltby »

356 Registry Reunion, September 28th, 2018 at Carmel Community Park, Carmel Valley, CA.

REGISTRATION OPENS MAY 10TH.

A reg form will be in the May June issue, mailing May 7th. This can be used by members who do NOT have internet access.

A dedicated website for the event will have an interactive form that you can easily download, fill, print and mail to the registrars, Felix and Jeannie Macaluso. Although the event is free to members, you may include a check for shirt(s) or car badge(s). These items must be pre-ordered, as they will probably not be available at the event.

In order to allow all members an equal chance to register, all forms must be mailed.

Every current member is invited to attend along with one guest. Please note that we must cap attendance at a certain number. Do not delay after registration opens May 10th.

Thanks to our generous sponsors who are making this a free event including beer, food and goodies.

As someone who never mails anything, I don't think requiring mailing your registration makes things fair. If anything it makes it inconvenient. . Haven't trusted the USPS since they lost my tax return over 10+ years ago. Just wanted to express my opinion.

We're well into June so here is a report on our Registry Reunion coming up in September.
All of our meals (500) have been spoken for. For late registrants here is a link to restaurants in Carmel Valley
http://carmelvalleyroadco.com/wine-dine/dine/
we're almost out of beer tickets so ifn you want a free one get goin on the form.
Due to order lead time we will stop taking shirt and grille badge orders on June 15. Send in a paper form with check if you're interested. Let me know by email if one is on its way.
Felix

Good morning Felix. I mailed my registration from Florida last week. How does one know if it’s been received? I’ll bringing my 356 from Florida to Rennsport once again.

Thank you,

Mark

We have made it clear over several months that registration would open in early May, and members should not delay after the opening date (May 10). For anyone who waited a few weeks, sorry. You snooze you lose. For anyone who felt mailing a form was too much work, sorry. We determined mail was the most fair way to handle registration. An e-letter was sent on June 1st indicating food service was fully subscribed but you could still register. If you didn't get this e-letter, check your spam folder. If not there, make sure membership has your current email address. Felix has been very responsive to all registrants. The website is 356registryreunion.com.

E-letter, June 1st:
356 Registry Reunion Sept. 28th
Registration still open for attendance only, no meals
We have 500 registrants for our meal service, so we must cap that number.
No further meals can be accommodated but you can still register to attend and have a beverage. A registration form is available here . We urge you to download and use this easily-fillable form. Event shirts and grille badges are still available by pre-order with your registration. These items will not be available after the event.
Thanks to our sponsors:
Thanks: 356 Registry; Porsche Cars North America; Stoddard NLA.
Sierra Madre Collection; 356 Club of Southern California; Russo & Steele Auctions; Reliable Carriers; Emory Motorsports; Restoration Design; 356 Devotion; 356 Carburetor Rescue; East Auto Body; Hagerty Insurance; Dr. Ross Sculptures; RPM Auto Books.

So how do we know if our registration was received? Do you get an email? Just curious.

I'm seeking three tickets if anyone has a change of plans. Driving out from Iowa with some 356 friends, but I didn't find out about this event until recently. Thanks!

I hope we can meet up tomorrow, Jameel. If you live in Iowa then next year in September we’ll be driving through with our 356, which will be there tomorrow. It’d be nice to meet you, and possibly see you again when we drive through the Hawkeye State.
