Finish on P Clamp and bracket for fuel line on shroud
I asked this question in another thread but it got buried. I'm looking for the correct finish for the fuel line P clamp and supporting bracket that's on the front (flywheel side) of the shroud.
Is the p clamp yellow cad and the bracket fan shroud color?

The clamp I bought from Stoddard 5 years ago was yellow cad but I don't think they were that color originally.

Agreed although mine definitely seems to have paint on it that matches the shroud.Doug McDonnell wrote:Probably Zn not CAD back in those days.

I'm sure Doug is correct. The parts manual lists the bracket and clamp but no description of coating. The bolt holding the clamp to the bracket is listed as galvanized. I think a lot of us go with clear cad as it has a nicer appearance.

That is a picture from my car. After I restored it so can't guarantee correct.

I actually think that yours is correct based on what I've found. My car is an unmolested survivor and once I removed the build up of grease and dirt, I discovered the light grey paint. I took a brass wire wheel to it to clean it up and there wasn't any plating under the paint, just the raw metal. Considering that other brackets are paint to match and bolted to the shroud, it doesn't surprise me that this one is painted as well.Doug McDonnell wrote:That is a picture from my car.
