Reproduction Phoenix fan belts

#1 Post by Dave Whittick »

Is anybody aware of a company reproducing belts with correct original markings? I've found a few originals but I don't feel like paying a fortune for 60 year old rubber belt that I can't actually run.

Dave there was person at the Lit show selling a reproduction. Overheard him saying that someone in San Diego was doing the silk screen on the belt. Believe the price was $100.

I believe Skip Shirley in San Diego is still doing silk screens on new belts. His email is skip-products@sbcglobal.net

He's no longer making these, unfortunately. Still looking.

Got a hickup in the tooling we are using- I want some improvements made before moving forward. Will likely be 4 - 6 more weeks. Will start with the 356 belts but will later add 911. Please be patient. Also, anyone wanting any serious quantity should let me know as it impacts production runs. When I am ready I will post in the classifieds.

Thanks for the update. Is there going to be a date code on them?

Yes- It will be difficult to tell them from original, but a very small change will be in place. More later

Continental belts were also provided for earlier cars.

First attempts made on the belts. Tooling was a much bigger challenge than expected, but hopefully that bridge is now crossed.
More info soon.
