This light fixture was mounted in the engine bay of a '62 Notchback. The stamping on the back is hard to read, but it says "GUIDE" along with a few illegible characters. Seems fairly agricultural and not particularly Porsche (hence off-topic). It's 6V, and does work. I kinda like it, but wondering from whence it came. Maybe a generic aftermarket gadget?
Anyone recognize this light fixture?

Probably made by Guide Lamp division og GM in Anderson, IN. Looks like late 30s or 40s vintage to me.

Thanks Phil, seems about right. Just for fun, I'm going to try to track down the application.

Phil, turns out that was just enough info to start. These were '47-'55 GM truck done lights. See https://picclick.com/47-48-49-50-51-52- ... 67586.html
Thanks again!
