A local barn find heads south
A car that has been in a rural shed for some years but complete has been 'found' and sold. Lucky buyer as the car is in great shape.

A '55 Spanish car originally George and then to Arizona and Australia.
The motor is incomplete but there is also a '52 motor intact with the car.

That is a nice car indeed. I hope they go easy taking the duct tape off, as likely to remove the paint with it. Looks to me like a garden hose and a rag would go a long way, I would drive it as is.
With the 1955 car, an early 3 piece engine, thus, an easy 90HP with a few new parts sprinkled inside.

Some images, after the wash Erik. New owner wants to get it running and driving first. I agree as this car seems a good preservation candidate.

Duct tape carefully removed after the 2,000k drive home. Hadn't seen a hose & rag since 2011 .Erik Thomas wrote:That is a nice car indeed. Well done John. I was going through some of my old notes and I have some record of another pre-A disassembled in a shed in a place near where this one came from in SE QLD. The guy had two cars and one was the donor for the other that he was 'restoring'. He wasn't interested in selling back in 2009.
You have an interesting journey ahead. Perhaps fire up your other car and head up to the Coff's Harbour Holiday this year?

Merv,
I would love to do Coffs; the 356BT6 is coming along, expecting paint around mid year. Completion more than likely 12 months away though.
