Notes from the 405

#1 Post by Dick Douglass »

This is a Big week for Porsche Owners and especially 356 Owners/Drivers.
Yesterday there were two exceptional Open Houses in So Cal and it kicked off a fabulous week.
Here are some notes if you are heading to Southern California for the L A Lit and Toy Meet and Anaheim if you plan on going to the All Porsche Swap Meet.

From Long Beach heading North on the 405 you will pass the 710. You could take the 710 to the 105 and get to the LAX.
Heading North on the 405 from Long Beach when you get to Carson you will see the Goodyear Blimp on the left and on the Right is the Porsche Experience Center! Great experience and terrific food in the 917. Coffee is available at the Speedster Cafe.

Continue North on the 405 and Klasse356 is in Torrance. Shout out to ED.
The 105 West off ramp from the 405 is closed. You need to have your smart phone and Google Maps or whatever to find a drive around to get to the Hilton at 5711 W. Century Blvd. LA, 90045.

Sierra Madre Collection has moved from Walnut Street in Pasadena to Eagle Rock. call 626-844-4616 for directions.

We encourage you to stop by the 356 Registry Table at The Lit Meet and Anaheim. Tell us what model 356 you drive. Pre A, A, B,or C. We will post the results soon. If you are from outside the US please introduce yourself and let us know. We will track that also. John Hearn......I Know!!! Mike Smith I'm not so sure. Just kidding.

Our 356 Registry Banner will be displayed at the 356 Registry table, and we want you to take a selfie of you and your friends and post it on the 356 Talk. Greg has given us tips to help you. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=38165
If the photo that is being attached is too large in the file size-the site has a 2 megabyte limit- and has to re resized here is a suggested apt to help.

This is your week and the 356 Trustees will be here to meet you and we encourage you to come to the meeting following the Lit Meet in the Hilton. The 356 Registry Trustees are on the right road.

And last. Attention in the Pits and Garage Areas!!!.
We cannot accept cash and Bitcoin to pay for your renewal of your 356 Registry Membership at the L A Lit Meet and Anaheim Swap Meet. We just have no way to deal with this currency. We are part of a Global Economy and realize that there are various types of currency but our system accepts electronic payments through our web site. Please renew your membership today and it is one less thing to worry about while spending time with your friends in LA. Take the cash and spend it with our vendors and /or the 356 Goodie Store. Diane is more than happy to sell you something to take home with the 356 Logo.

Please feel free to PM me with your questions or post them on the forum.

Again thanks to Jim Alton, and Steve Douglas for help with parking. Mike Wilson always a pleasure to read your posts. Spencer Harris will I have the pleasure of seeing you again? Hi Tammy! Trevor Gates you are awesome..thanks to you and 356 Club of Southern California.

The site Greg gave us is:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=38165

My previous post cut off part of the link in Frequently Asked Questions thread on the Main Discussion forum on the 356 Talk site. It has among other things for step- by -step instructions on how to add a picture to a post in the 356 Talk forum.

Thanks again Greg.

How funny is that again it didn't give you the whole link because I am on the talk forum. So go to Frequently asked questions and look for the link.
