Hey fellow 356 enthusiast
After a long waiting period, things are moving forward with my T5 coupe. I finished disassembly in Dec 2016 and handed it over to the body shop. A year later, I was told that metal work on the body was finished. So far, the only progress info I have received were the pics below.
So this Monday, I'll drive a couple hundred miles to go "inspect" the body work. The pics look quite alright to me and the fact that the metal work was done on a Celette increases the chances that the body is straight. BUT: I'm just an enthusiast, not a professional. So the current question for you guys would be:
Any advice on what I should check specifically?
Any ideas on how I can measure if the body is straight (it will not be on the Celette anymore when I inspect it)?
Thanks!
Will

Re: 1959 356 T5 Coupe – how to verify if the body is straigh
There are measurements in the workshop manual at least there are for my C. But if it was done on a Cellette jig I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks for that. I was aware of the measurements in the workshop manual, but was simply not sure what would be the best way to actually verify these on the body. However, I guess things look quite alright – see attached pictures!

Location of side trim molding holes on T5?
Since pretty much every piece of the outside hull below the windows of my T5 has been replaced, the holes for the side trim moldings that were originally on the car are gone. Does anyone have a T5 with factory side trim who could provide some measurements?
