good point Vic!.... i was in Mini-mode, siamesed ports etc......i guess its all grist to the fuel-injection mill, where duration isn't so much of a problem

Jacques, i wasn't thinking of different inlet and exhaust lobes, but i suppose the cylinder pressures resisting the exhaust valve opening must be far higher than the inlet, so perhaps that accounts for the difference?

When the engine is cold, 3K is it. When warm, 5K or more is routine. I love to drive this car. When I raced it, 7K was often hit. If you put it together right and treat it well, then 5K is not an issue.
