Sure looks like that seat has done plenty of reclining in it's time.

I ran a Shadow 2 many years ago and I’m still having nightmares. My financial situation will never recover. I think the seat recliners are larger than Porsche ones and, unusually for R-R generic.

It sold for $11,000 it had a turbo and an 8 speed manual gearbox!
I closed my computer and put it in the bag so I wouldn't bid.

The intercooler was sort of a tell for the turbo, but what's with the plumbing over both sides of the top?

It's a "CLASSIC?" And from my high school Latin (which taught me to go to the dictionary, which in this case is Google), the inscription on the pipe in the engine bay is, roughly, "Remember Death, Dude," or "Mortal deeds never deceive the gods, Dude!" Amazing! At least the back seat seems relatively untouched. And thank the gods, the seat belts are still installed!!

My brother summed it up, he said that thing would be a lot of fun, until something broke.

Probably has a rear mount radiator. That's all the rage with drifters now, much like the eternally mounted inter-cooler.Ron LaDow wrote:The intercooler was sort of a tell for the turbo, but what's with the plumbing over both sides of the top?

Didn't Mercedes Benz and Porsche share carpeting material also?

Re: 1967 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow.. seat Recliners
Wife and I went to Europe several years back, SFO-LAX-Hamburg. You have to ride a bus from the LAX domestic to int'l; the driver's seat had a big "Recaro" nameplate on it. Well, why not? They do 'transport seating' and I'm sure RR and Benz figured they were about as good as you could get then.
So we get on a Lufthanza 7X7, upgrade to Bizz class from 'points'; yep the flat-recline, with vid, audio, light, sliding table 'seat'; "Recaro".
'Transport seating' indeed.
Edit; correction, as wife reminded me at dinner:"Recaro", not "Reutter".

And I have to add, what a great idea! Put a water-cooled engine in front and put the radiator in BACK!Jim Karaba wrote:Probably has a rear mount radiator. Seriously, is there a theoretic gain here somewhere?
