This wouldn't be the D that Miamiair once stormed into and out of Talk lore? Nahhhhh, I heard that project went on to another life somewhere on the other side of the pond. If I could find one with its head lopped off, this would be my preference for beauty and versatility. Gooooo, little D.

You mean the infamous "Speedster D"? Charles was right but there was only 1 Speedster D.

Looking forward to the next update Matt!

True, there was/is only one Speedster D...and it wasn't his.

Charles R. Kourmpates or Miami air was an interesting character and his "talking Convertible D" apparently knew how to type and posted on the old email forum. He was an accomplished airplane artist. As to the D, he did some modifications to the car that were unique and would be easily identifiable. Believe this is not that car. He loved to "stir the pot."

He seems to have moved from Rhode Island back to Florida. I recently Googled Charles R. Kourmpates to see what is new...

I believe that was Charles R. Kourmpates (not Koumpates), no doubt still somewhere out there in the bozo zone (bozone?).

Jay, it's going to Tony at Autobahn soon for interior and top. It will not go anywhere but my garage after it returns, it's been in the family since 1968.
