WTB or find engine#68428 1600 Normal for my 1958 Porsche Speedster.
Last known to be in Terre Haute, Indiana or possibly after that in Carlsbad, N.M.

Anything really close but after that number would be great also.
Thank your for any help in this search.

I believe I have the original back-end for the original motor. The Block is stamped 1600S. The front cover likely was replaced and a plain bearing crank and the same time to replace the original roller crank but I could be wrong.
I have two other 1956 case covers to swap one is a super the other is a normal.

Thanks,

Chris

Yes only the rod bearings were rollers, the cranks are fully interchangeable as well as the font covers. The Cams have narrow lobs to clear the crank assembly.
