Re: Jack Staggs' shop
Hey Mike - Oh man! Thank you for allowing me to put a little over 200 shake down miles on your car. It was a blast to drive and that sunroof really makes a big difference - kind of the best of both worlds. My 9 year daughter rode with me for almost all the miles and blew your car a kiss when we had to return the car to the shop. Needless to say she's hooked!
Here we are (minus my son) motoring right along; windows down, sunroof cracked open, hair blowing (those of us that have it) in the wind.
PS - Have a safe and great trip up to the Emory Porsche Campout. Should be a great time!

Thanks Mike!
Another friend, Pete, heading to the Emory Porsche Campout in Oregon in his 63 Coupe, just going over a few last minute things before hitting the road tomorrow morning. Jack and I were talking 356's today and he mentioned that he read this thread: '53 Coupe, #2 Sparkplug Threads Issue and was sure he remembered the car being from Southern California. Sure enough he was right, it is Gene's Pre A. Funny story, is that when the restoration was being done, as Jack remembers mostly by Gene himself, he had two hood handles cast and gave one to Jack. It's been on a shelf for many years, but is going to be pressed into service very shortly as soon as Craig Richter's cloth sunroof Coupe comes out of paint. Cool how these things work out!

The seldom seen fender flare... Story goes that back in the day a dealer in Colorado installed rear fender flares on 5 or 6 cars when almost new. If anyone else has heard this story or one similar please share.

Picking up a customer's 57 Speedster. (Pickle fork wipers on order from Erik @ Auto Foreign Services) This pic was taken heading south on PCH just past Crystal Cove State Park. Jack and I then stopped to grab lobster tacos for lunch at Taco Loco in Laguna Beach.

I think these mounts have seen better days.
Is this the Holy Grail? T2 Speedster in Meissen Blue in mostly original paint with a red patina interior? Many would say yes.

A lot of magic happens inside these shop walls, a lot happens outside as well. Happy Labor Day weekend everyone!

All tucked in for the night.

Re: Jack Staggs' shop
After the shop being closed two Friday’s in a row (Palms to Pines event and then Thanksgiving) it was fun to get together and talk cars and life.
