Gebi Bolts

#1 Post by Michael Gregg »

I can't find any reference to Gebi hardware on the forum. I've found a few so far used on my '64 356C as link pin pinch bolts and tie rod clamp bolts. I have found some references over on The Samba site. Anyone else seen these bolts on their 356?

Has anyone else found their bolts on a 356? I have not heard of that brand myself.

I've also found some NEDUR 8G bolts used on the rear torsion bar bushing cover.

Company that once used trademark NEDUR is Koninklijke Nedschroef Holding B.V., in the Netherlands. See their website: https://www.nedschroef.com/en/about_nedschroef/history/

It's not a brand that I see often, especially on a 356.
I was searching through my photos for other reasons, and found this- a 935 transmission that I rebuilt recently...

Jon:
The quality of the wire raps on those safety wired bolts looks like you might have been an aircraft mechanic, nice!

Thank you Chuck. I've worked on various things with wings, but nothing designed to leave the ground.

+1 Jon. Safety wiring like that is a sign of attention to detail.
Some days it's just not worth chewing through the restraints.....
