I'm puzzled about my dash

#1 Post by Kevin P Mentzer »

'64 C Coupe original red exterior and black interior. The exterior was painted (poorly) at some point in the cars history but other than that I believe this car to be original. Problem is the dash face is a semi gloss black. As far as I can tell this is original but I've never seen another '64C coupe with a black dash face they always seem to be body color. Am I missing something?

Always body color; except pre-A. A semi-gloss finish indicates a repaint of the dash.
We are currently changing a silver dash on a race car to a semi-gloss black; better visibility of the instruments with the contrasting colors.
And welcome to the Forum!
