Need Round Sump Plate Gasket

#1 Post by Josh Matthew »

Hello,

It's time for my first oil change. Where are you guys getting your early (2 piece engine) sump plate gaskets? The round ones. I can't seem to find them for my 1953 engine.

Also, when you install them, are you guys using any gasket dressing? Or is that not needed?

Thanks for any help and suggestions!

Josh

Wolfsburgwest sells them, complete kits with the two gaskets, nuts and washers.

Yes, a '53 engine.

Thank you for the help guys! I'll call that shop on Monday and order a few sets. Also, thanks for the help on the dressing.

Josh
