scripts of the Porsche's

#1 Post by Helge Tielker »

Guys,
how is it possible to see weather a script (like 60/ 90/ C or 1600) is an original or aftermarket one?
Weight or are there any other special marks?
Any idea is appreciated ....

Helge from The Netherlands
PS: after long long time Californian's "REDMAXX" is back on street with a fixed transmission due to a good expert Porsche friend here in Holland

I recognise on some a small R with a circle around on the backside, what does it mean?

I believe the "R" is the initial of the company that made the script rather than "Registered".

the good repros also have the R. I remember something about the grain being different on repros but that may be old news.

Jules, I'll bet a lot of people don't know about the grain or "pebbling" between the letters.
