He needs to sell the car to pay for the golf vacation. Actually, Doug said early in this thread that he was working on it to sell the car.

You know how it is Vic. You go to a rich area and see something you want! Plan is to still keep this as my winter project but in case some one who does paint wants a decent car to return to Dolphin grey over the winter I would sell at this point.

Golf vacation was cheap CJ as I went along to Savannah with a MFP who had a conference. Being retired allows such ventures. Retirement= six Saturdays followed by a Sunday:>)

Doug, Savannah is a wonderful place. The waterfront restaurants are great fun. I raced motorcycles at Roebling Road for 10 years and that was a double win because the track was fantastic and the evenings were the best of the racing year. It didn't hurt that the race was in February, warm weather, and was the weekend before Daytona where it was really warm.

Isn't the LPGA headquartered in Savannah?

No idea on the LPGA I can't be bothered with LPGA except for Sandra Gal. I was 3 feet from her when I worked a Hole at an LPGA tournament. Vendors took us to dinner every night at "The Rich People Places" like The Pink House. I am fatter now. Looked for 356s when I was on the streets but never saw one. I drove my 356 as a daily driver when I was stationed in Myrtle Beach. 80 and sunny while I was there-perfect weather to drive a 356. I checked LPGA is in Daytona Beach. 38 degrees here this AM so not working in the garage until this afternoon.

I guess I saw their facility a little later on my racing trips? The memory is getting worse every day. How about a military aviation museum, maybe that was in Savannah??? Don't believe it though with my memory.

The last turn and the first turn at Roebling are 2 of my favorite turns at any track! Pucker time!

I have only been to Grattan and Gingerman here in Michigan for Driver's Ed days. I prefer the elevation change and variety of types of turns at Grattan even though as an old school track it is not as safe.

Not as safe makes it fun.

It does Vic, but adds a bit of pucker factor when you only go to a track once a year. But Sweeper, off camber downhill, esses, almost hairpin, love the combination of turns at Grattan.
