Are they mag or aluminum?

Hey Max

You think the pictures are ugly. You should see them in person.

Ciao

Jim
PS: They are cast aluminum with steel inserts for the lugs. Actually, they are very nicely made.

Greg,
I read topics like this one just so I can laugh and grumble under my breath about what silly things people do to look different (Ha Ha Jim grumble grumble). Modifying things is great fun, but IMHO it's also very difficult to improve on what Dr. Porsche designed. Missing hubcaps even bug me! But your car is STUNNING. Color, deletes, those wheels... Absolutely stunning. Nice work.

I'm fitting the 10 hole 16" space savers to my C. Can anyone share their tyre size choice for those rims?

I'd like to keep diameter similar to stock, not too wide, nice sidewall etc etc, but there does not seem to be an obvious, and easily available match.

Thanks,

James.

The closest tire in circumference to a shock 165 X 15 would probably be a 205 X 55 X 16. That is a popular size and most manufacturers have a tire in that size. Your wheels are 5 1/2 X 16 and that tire would fit on those rims.

Thanks for that Jim. I may go for those, but I've been looking around, and may go for a 185/60/16, a more unusual size, but it seems available here in the UK.

Seems to be also close in diameter to the 165 stock, but hopefully lighter on the steering than a 205.

Whatever, I'll post a picture when fitted.

Nice to see Cosmic's on a 356 by the way, I like 'em. Never seen gold ones though!

Thanks.

James.

Just what we need Jim, something to make our Tubs look more like MGB's. That ought to keep the prices down.

Sort of like strangers call my 356 a Karmann Ghia and they call my Karmann Ghia a Porsche.
