Our Houston area 356 club is having a run tomorrow (Saturday) to visit the bluebonnets. It's a beautiful drive (took it last weekend with the MINI club), and details are in the "356 Events" section.
If you're visiting the greater Houston area, I'd strongly recommend this and other drives. Believe it or not, there ARE great curvy and hilly roads in this part of Texas, and you'll find lots of them north and northwest of the area. We're well versed in them, since we live in the immediate area, and regularly plan routes for both clubs, often using Google satellite views. Feel free to ask for some road numbers and full routes, even if you're in a Ford Focus for the weekend!
Passenger seats are always available, too--your choice of cars (as if there IS a choice!) :mrgreen:
