Creative Replicar Decoration Award

#1 Post by Bill Simmeth »

Badges Gone Wild.

The Creative Replicar Decoration Award goes to... this beauty.
Note the generous use of coach builder badges. There's a Reutter badge (in the typical spot ) and a Glaser badge on the door post and a Pre-A Reutter badge on the rear panel to the right of the license. And how 'bout the Bosch horn tag riveted to the rear panel to the left of the shine-up light! Did I miss any?

Isn't that the correct placement for the Bosh tag?

But you have to admit it is really cute. A guy in neighborhood has a replica 59 convertible D with VW power setup. It is cream colored with tan interior and it is a beauty even if it is a replica.

Last year someone actually entered a Speedster replica in the local PCA club concourse. Needless to say, my Fast Frieda was a bit miffed about it.

Nah, that covered it... but hey, it's got A/C PLUS a Kenwood stereo.
Paint it flat black, add some Mexican blanket seat covers, mebbe a "Little Bastard" graphic on the back... it's a keeper. :P

Love the ad copy. The Glaser AND Ruetter badges must add mojo.
