Looking for a little Support

#1 Post by marcsherriff »

Hi there fellow members.
I have been a regular here now for several years, and have both benefited and contributed during that time, to make my ownership more rewarding.
In the last 12 months, I have been channeling my passion for cars, and particularly air cooled Porsches, into my YouTube Channel: Marc and Cars.

It has taken me a while to get good access to cars, and their owners, but I am starting to get some views, of some of my 25 odd videos I have posted.

In an effort to try and recupe some of the advertising revenue YouTube currently enjoy, as the fruit of my labour, I need to get to 1000 subscribers.

If any of you have any interest of what goes on with the Porsche 356 world over here in Perth, Western Australia, you might enjoy my videos.

If you could please subscribe, it would really be appreciated. Browse the channel, have a look a a few of my videos, my most recent ones have gained a lot more views, which may be a reflection of their quality.

A WORD OF WARNING. There is some non Porsche content, viewer discretion advised, it has made some Porsche owners feel ill. ;-)

If you do enjoy a video, give it a thumbs up, make a comment, share it with your friends. If you don't enjoy it, let me know why. I need all the assistance I can get to improve.

My channel: www.youtube.com/c/marcandcars

My latest video, just a short one, https://youtu.be/GHdMMfreQUA

Again, any assistance from the Registry members will be greatly appreciated.

Yes it is very hot here in Perth at the moment! last 3 days over 42! (108f) Too hot for my little beauty to be run around in.

Hey Marc, I'm in. Your car sounds great, maybe a video just on the car, your history with it and how it's set up? How is it driving a left-hand drive car in the left lane?

Marc:
I've been on your site before and enjoyed it, so I just subscribed. Good luck with reaching 1000.

Question: what is it about reaching your goal? Does Youtube help you monetize your channel? I know nothing about this and was curious.

Best

For those of you that have asked, "Why 1000 subscribers?"
1000 is the golden number where Youtube will pass back some of the revenue from your videos that are watched. Every public YouTube video is actually monetized, but YouTube only pass back some of the revenue, once you pass this milestone. There are other requirements to be paid by them, but this is the hardest one for a "New" YouTuber to attain.
A lot of viewers will enjoy your video, but very few subscribe to your channel, and even less leave comments or give the video a thumbs up or down.
As a viewer of a YouTube video, if you enjoy it, the best way to show your appreciation is to Subscribe, Click the Notifications Bell, Give the video a Thumbs Up, and Comment. This is the perfect storm that will enable a YouTuber to have his/her videos move up the in the algorithms that YouTube use to put videos in front of people, that might interest them. It is really to get them on the radar, so to speak.
Again, thank you all for the support, I am posting at least once a week, so please check in on the channel, for more videos to come.

Marc:
I don't think that anyone would object to you putting your channel hyperlink in under your name so that it shows up when you post. Makes it easy to view what you've been up to.

If you visit any interesting landscapes in your area, a video of that that would be a treat for some of us travel/nature freaks. Sort of Nat Geo in a 356...

Ronald, Great Idea. I know we are at a part of the world, very few international travellers get to, so I will make sure to include few reasons why someone should visit.

Thanks for all the support guys. I have uploaded a few videos since my last post, but here is my latest, which whilst not technical, tries to share some of the family lifestyle, of owning the car, and travelling here in Western Australia.
