I thought I gave up crawling on the floor in 1990 when I bought the lift I still have in the original part of my garage where most of the work gets done. I did have the Elva on jack stands for awhile because it was a back burner project and I didn't want to tie up the lift. It is entertaining to watch me get up from a creeper. :D

way too many Land Rovers in this thread. Here is another. Found it by the side of the road when I was working in the UK a long time ago. Rebuilt it nights and weekends. 1972 Series 3 109 with overdrive, front mounted capstan winch.

How many of you Land Rover guys have tried some of the stunts from the movie
The Gods Must Be Crazy? On second thought, that was nearly 40 years ago......

After careful experimentation over the last fifty years I have come to the conclusion that all transportation needs can be met with the right combination of Porsches and Land Rovers,
They are the two ends of the automotive spectrum - I've owned 3 Porsches and 19 Land Rovers (plus a whole bunch of the stuff in between - Fiats, BMW's Alfas, NSU's, Volvos, Volkswagens, Mercedes, Chevrolets and even a couple of pieces of French junk).

I wonder how many 356 owners have or had an MGTC? Mine is a '47. Used to race it with the VSCCA in the 1980's. Had a lot of fun driving it to Bridgehampton or Lime Rock, racing for two days, then putting the spare and the tools back in and driving it 150 miles home.

Like that little cab although I deep sixed the cab on the Willys - I like the open feel, although I do live in California
P.S. - I looked a lot like that in '74, too!

I don’t much like the look of most new cars, but I am sold on my 718. I think it’s a real stunner.

I think the club needs to somehow add "Land Rover" into its name.
