In 1978 and 1979 I lived in Denver and bought two Sunbeam Tigers. Still have the Tigers, I restored one (photo below) and the other remains on the "to do" list. But... best part of this story is that in 1979 I also met a gal named Carol at Frontier Airlines where we both worked. She owned two Porsches: a 1973 911E (original owner) and a 1965 356C (owned since 1975). How perfect was that? We were married the next year (I'm no fool). I sold it to an enthusiast in Switzerland in 2012 and bought a beautiful 1964 356 C Coupe in its place.

These are the only photos I have of these two from my misguided youth--

1963 Ghia that I lowered, recessed the headlights, made a custom whale tail...and lots more (can you tell what I really wanted was a Porsche?)

And 1973 Opel GT that I never finished ruining...I mean customizing...

Neither of these exist anymore but I guess that's a good thing, although I wish I finished the Opel--I've always wondered what it would have ended up looking like.

At least you tried! Obviously you were an enthusiastic car guy from an early age. All good.

So far, of the cars shown above, excluding my beautiful Daimler, my favorites are, the Abarth, the Healey, and the Frenchman's Morgan(frogmog).
