Tom Ritchie can still be found riding the roads out on the coast. His frames from the early eighties have held up well. But I still prefer an old schwinn

Re: The birth of mountain bikes
Living in Utah in the 70sand 80s bought my first mountain bike, a stump jumper, stolen then bought a Ritchey Commando that I still have. Wonderful classic, haven’t ridden it in years.
Thank you Tom,
Rusty

I only been to Utah once (I was in Provo for 3 weeks) but would love to ride in your National Parks. They look stunning.Rusty Ferrell wrote:Living in Utah in the 70sand 80s bought my first mountain bike, a stump jumper, stolen then bought a Ritchey Commando that I still have.
