I love this guy.
I think this guy is nuts.
He's built a 3/4-scale 9-cylinder radial out of MDF, (looks like) some hardwood, and some plex, at what material cost is unknown but it has to have cost hundreds of hours of his labor; you don't knock out 9 pistons on a wood lathe on a lazy Saturday afternoon.
All to explain to you and me how and why radials work with a vid watched by me and not too may others (on an annual count).
You may already understand how they work, and he leaves out how the cam ring clocking is a result of the cam/crank gear ratio, but it is still worth the watch:
