That setup would give very little brake fade. Looks good.

Would that not unbalance the wheel somewhat?
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.

I recall an F1 champion being DNFed when a stone got caught between a caliper and the rim, machining a groove like this.
