Lewis was being pretty sleazy with his tactics. I was very happy to see Nico win the championship partly because he was the underdog, partly because he has paid his dues and mostly because he seems to be a gentleman who conducts himself in a professional manner. Lewis is ultra talented and will win more championships ahead I think but I wouldn't be upset if he started losing. It's not Lewis' fault but I am so sick of English pundits praising Hamilton throughout every broadcast. It makes me want to puke. There are other very talented drivers out there like Rosberg, Riccardo, Vettel, Raikkonen, Verstappen, Alonso, and I missed some, but only the Mercedes drivers had any chance of winning. Rosberg had enough poles, wins, and fastest laps to be treated with the same respect as Hamilton. I am very glad he won and I hope he puts it to Lewis again next year. When Hamilton falls out of favor with the pundits I think I will like him better. GO NICO!

I think Verstappen is the guy to watch, insane talent and some of the necessary ruthlessness to win. Off course I am biased because I am Dutch...........

I agree Joris. He is already toning it down a little, maturing, but he has to beat Riccardo consistently to get to the top. There are some very talented drivers stuck in some mediocre cars and you have to wonder if everybody was driving a Mercedes who would come out on top. That's what makes bench racing so much fun.

Verstappen is very good but this Dutchman is really amazing

More skill in his little toe than all the F1 drivers together :)

Congratulations to Nico for making, in my opinion, a correct decision to retire after winning the World Championship.
It seems like this was for all of the right reasons and shows a man that highly values his family concerns and self worth.
There is nothing wrong with going out on top.

Shocking! I was really hoping he would beat Lewis again next year but I have great respect for him realizing that he has more important things to do in life. I knew I liked him.

He'll be back in some years. Not in F1 perhaps, but some racing somewhere.

This article contains 2 videos I really enjoyed. Nico does seem to be a very well grounded nice person. He even exposes his love of his classic car.
