Considering Purchasing a 2014-2015 911

#1 Post by Nate Feduska »

I'm considering purchasing a pre-owned 2014 or 2015 911 Coupe or Targa, preferably with a 7 speed manual transmission. Wanted to hear from members if there are specific options or configurations to avoid and if there are any mechanical or build flaws that a potential buyer should be aware of.

I'm located in Marin County just north of San Francisco and there are plenty of Porsche's for sale by dealers and private parties. Any suggestions from members on dealers to consider purchasing from or avoiding in the US? Thanks!

Nate: The only advice I can offer is this: check the internet for the topic "Problems with 2014-15 Porsche" and perhaps back issues of Excellence, Motor Trend, Road & Track, etc. to see if anything is noted. I'd also ask a Porsche mechanic since they work on the cars.

Good hunting!

Hi Nate. I have a 2014, purchased recently as a CPO. You pay a few bucks for the CPO but it extends the factory warranty and has an extensive checklist for approval. I think it is a good value, particularly if concerned with the used part of your used car purchase!

They are really good, solid, high quality cars that you would expect from Porsche.

Good Luck
