I don't have much video and the camera was shakey with the cracked mount and rough Sebring track but I have this. Sorry I don't have race video, this is qualifying. Not my best. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X66vS0jNnGg

CJ, what did you end up with in the front suspension with reference to roll bar and torsion springs? Did you go with offset link pin bushings to achieve some Neg camber?

Hi David,
I bought a 3/4" sway bar and spacers from the guy in CA that you referred me to. I have one torsion leaf assembly from a late 50s Bug. I had a dune buggy guy make me a set of 3* negative camber gorilla king pin assemblies and I had Penske make me double adjustable shocks.

Thank you for posting. You appear to have more top speed on the longer straights but still finding your way braking? Which is understandable since the two gentlemen you were chasing have been driving those cars for years so are super dailed. What work are you doing on the car for the next one?

PS If you did ask Derek Bell for this green card I'm sure he would of raced you for it. He looks still looks race trim and ready to win!

After my broken ankle heals I need to redo the throttle cable because the Lokar one that I got from Summit is absolute junk. The outer sleeve was collapsing when the cable was pulled and I was not always getting full throttle. It was totally inconsistant and only a well made cable will fix the problem.

I also have to work on my cooling fan which was loose and dragging on the housing at the end of my race. Just tightening it did not help.

The air/fuel gauge was reading very rich and I need to spend some time on the dyno to sort that out. First I must sort out full throttle.

When I loaded the car onto the trailer the clutch was dragging so I have to fix that.

One of the best things about racing the Devin at Sebring was having its former owners attend and watch it race for the first time. Dave and June Robertson owned the car for 25 years in Ocala FL. They actually bought the car in rough shape in Chicago before moving to FL. Life and kids, and jobs happened and Dave never got around to the Devin project. Dave took very good care of the car though and it was a good starting point for my race car project.

I think that Dave was more excited about the debut of the Devin than I was. He was over the moon and his son was really excited that the car ran well. Both of them race go-carts so they understand the racing thing. Their excitement made my day.

Dave and June are on the left...

Love it Cliff, fantastic job with all of it. Great color and glad you kept the fuchs, looks awesome!

Now I like my Devins with v8's too, but your D takes the cake!

Congrats on the successful shakedown.

Dave and I are both in the Witness Protection Program and are required to wear thick bullet proof vests. Of course the camera adds 20 pounds, or maybe 40.

Thank you. I would love to have a Devin SS for the street but that's never going to happen. I would even have fun with a Devin Panhard with Bill Devin's Norton cylinder head conversion. Tasty!
