Devin D Porsche Stuff

#1 Post by C J Murray »

Gordon did a nice article on the Devin in the current issue of the club magazine with complimentary articles about Greg Blue and Gregory Campbell and their Devin experiences. Thank you Gordon.

Information on these cars is pretty thin so if anybody can add any anecdotes about Devins or the D in particular(the model that used a Devin frame, not a VW pan) I would love to hear it. I have recently started a vintage race car project with a very ratty D needing a frame and extensive work everywhere. It was the perfect car to chop up into a race car so I am now selling the nice D that I first bought for this project, see classifieds.

So, what experience have you had with the Devin D? Got any crazy stories?

The project begins. Do you think I should have tried to save the frame?

Looks like a fun, although extensive, project. I'd love to have a Devin D but no room, no time and I want to keep my wife.

I've never seen one utilize an MG windscreen...clever.

Emil, good job picking up on the MGB windscreen! I saw the pictures of your MGB "club racer" and thought about doing that for the Devin racer but I think I will go with a simpler and lighter solution. I guess the previous owner lost/broke/didn't like the Devin windscreen. Your B looks very cool with the cut down look. I have seen some As done like that too that look great.

I told you not to acid-dip the frame!
