BAT (Bring-a-Trailer) calls it a Porsche, but it's no more a Porsche that a Type 1 Bug. Designed by Ferdinand Porsche and built by VW. It'll probably go for some big money but what would you do with it? It's history (1942 in occupied Poland) is also a bit disturbing.

Unfortunately the history of the Porsche and VW companies is also a bit disturbing, I try not to think about it.

Are any of the "Wagens" more rare or desirable than another?

There was a very thorough article on the Porsche versions in our magazine, if only I had a memory for the details. I don't need one since I bought a Myers Manx clone over the winter and I have no idea why I did that!

Agree on "disturbing". Especially if you intend to wear the matching uniform :(
On the other hand, the good thing is that this engine should not lead to endless conversations between you and Jacques about the choice of camshaft ;)

Manx drivers wear a surfer outfit and never talk about camshafts. :P

When I was in high school a violinist in the Cleveland Orchestra had a Manx that I sometimes worked on. Even at a young age, I was afraid someone would see me driving it.

It's getting a little ridiculous with acquiring 2 Devins and a Manx recently but to be fair I sold my Caterham and Norton Commando. I'm thinking about selling one of the Devins because buying 2 was sort of an accident. I added the Manx to the signature.
