Thumbs up! You need a couple of vintage surfboards to complete the picture!

It's a brand new Brazilian VW 1600 dual port 1600 with twin Kadron carbs, very basic but all it really needs. It's been too cold to sort the tuning yet. I got it from a guy in MO who built it from all new parts but didn't quite finish it so I finished the build but have not been able to drive it much yet. It is built on a Berrien frame with 4 wheel disc brakes and the later VW ball joint front and full irs rear suspension. When I was eighteen I built one of these from scratch so once again I am reliving my past. My wife just shakes her head.

Cliff:
That Manx should be fun blasting around in the curves surrounding your estate. As I recall from my days living in St. Thomas, the Manx was very tractable on the hills and curves and just a fun ride. The Mini Mokes would slide off the roads and into the bush from understeer and generally couldn't keep up, but also were less apt to roll over. And the Renault Meharis - OMG, what a disaster those were!

From the looks of your signature collection, you now have a different car to drive each day!

To Ronald,
Meharis are from Citroën, not Renault.
The Renault beach car, based on the 4L was called Rodeo.
Both cars are soft sprung and they roll.
But as front wheel drives with all independent suspensions and very little power they can be considered safe at all achievable speeds (unlike the Moke which is closer to a supermarket cart and definitely does not deserve the Mini name as far as road-holding is concerned).
