Interesting VW

Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car magazine, in its March edition, put out a request for info regarding the rather odd car below. If you know anything about it you might want to forward it to dlachance@hemmings.com

I remember a baby blue car (old paint and the car needed restoration) that looked very similar to that on ebay a few years ago. I think we even talked it over here on the forum at the time.

It looks like it could be a hoax. Shown with split, oval, and maybe later window Bugs? Porsche grill? Porsche hood handle?

Looking at the roofline I would say that it was made for someone with an extended skull
